Experience Requirement:

• At least 1 year of teaching or research experience in the relevant field after obtaining the postgraduate degree.
• Experience should be from a recognized University, College, or Research Institute.

Educational Qualification

To apply for the Assistant Professor (Geography) post, candidates must meet the following academic qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Geography from a recognized university under the Central or State Act or an institution deemed to be a university under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956.
• Postgraduate Degree (Master’s) in Geography with a first class or equivalent grade at either:
  • Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) level AND
  • Master of Arts (M.A.) level in Geography, Environmental Studies, or related fields.
• Candidates who have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC or the State Level Eligibility Test (SLET/SET) will be given preference.

Computer Literacy:

• Proficiency in basic computer applications as per Gujarat Civil Services Rules.

Language Proficiency:

• Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi to communicate and teach effectively.
