Eligibility Criteria
Experience Requirement
Candidates must have at least one year of teaching or research experience in the relevant field after obtaining their postgraduate degree. Experience should be from a recognized university, college, or research institute.
Educational Qualification
To be eligible for the post of Assistant Professor (Urdu), candidates must meet the following academic requirements:
- Ph.D. in Urdu from a recognized university under the Central or State Act or an institution deemed to be a university under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956.
- Postgraduate Degree (Master’s) in Urdu with a first class or equivalent grade at either:
- Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) level, AND
- Master of Arts (M.A.) level in Urdu Language and Literature.
- Candidates who have cleared the National Eligibility Test (NET) conducted by UGC or the State Level Eligibility Test (SLET/SET) will be given preference.

- Computer Literacy: Proficiency in basic computer applications as per Gujarat Civil Services Rules.
- Language Proficiency: Adequate knowledge of Gujarati or Hindi to communicate and teach effectively.
